The perfect salad takes various shapes and forms, but in the transition from spring to summer I like this one best:
Romaine, iceberg, green bell peppers, while asparagus, white onion, carrots, tomatoes, olive oil.

Hearty Detox Soup.
This soup is easy to make, tastes great, and is amazing to lighten up your system while leaving you satisfied.
-Cut 6 medium/large tomatoes and remove the seeds
-Place in a pot with a quarter of a cup of water
-Bring to a boil
-Add 1-2 chopped or full garlic cloves
-Add salt & pepper
-Add two drizzles olive oil
-Add two chopped mushrooms (optional)
-Cover with a lid and let cook on low heat for an hour
-To make it more delish & indulgent serve with grated parmesan or gruyere and let the cheese melt on the soup

Greens with walnuts. Sautée fave greens - here collard - in olive oil with diced white onions. Sprinkle with ground black pepper. Add in walnuts. Stir til walnuts are toasted . Enjoy!

The Best Meal of the Year: the thanksgiving Cobb.
-chop up romaine and add in leftover veggies (broccoli, string beans, baby spinach here)
-toast leftover stuffing until edges are crispy
-dress veggies & lettuce in olive oil
-optionally add shredded left over turkey
-drizzle with cranberry sauce, with an extra spoonful of the liquid to complete the ‘vinaigrette’
