    Eating for my Adrenals+Spleen in Week2 of #RETOX Immune Boost Month. -Warm a pan with olive oil -Add 2-3 fistfuls of baby spinach & stir -Add thinly sliced yellow squash -When veggies soft add 1 full egg+2 egg whites -Stir & let cook all the way through -Serve w/ ¼ of a salted avocado Enjoy the spinach, squash & yolks for your spleen, salt for your adrenals, avocado for your essential fatty acids & California love.

    Modern life can often make us feel like we are drowning. Drowning in stress and problems, challenges and goals. We try and try to stay afloat, try to boogie board ourselves across all the financial, familial, psychological, medical and, well ,just blegh trials of life, and but sometimes there are phases like mine of late where you just keep getting smacked down over and over again. And after a while, it’s close to impossible to know where up is, let alone how to come up for air.

    This all takes a toll on our immune system – the physical, tangible one and the emotional, intangible one. Back then I needed the lifeguards to drag me out, and my dad to give me the confidence to immediately go back in and face the next round of waves. Now I need #RETOX.

    RETOX is about giving you the strength and wisdom to find the light, the space and direction to find and take that breath, that breath you need to survive. I know it can feel like you will never find your way out when you are being tossed and mangled by the tides and waves of life, but you will. And I want to help you.

    HEALTHY GLUTEN RECIPE - Vegan Garlic Bread:

    I eat gluten in the form of whole, good quality bread and pasta when I feel like it, but not as the base of my diet. And when I eat it, it must be in its most natural form of bread and pasta, as opposed to a processed product or soy sauce. Today I just needed bread- it was cold, I had buckets of veggies in soup and salads earlier, I was tired and was craving garlic. Here is what I made in 30 secs:

    -two slices truly whole grain bread that has no additives. Just the ingredients the Romans put in their bread

    -covered them in virgin olive oil - great source of omegas

    -topped with 6 cloves chopped garlic - great for your immune system

    -put in toaster oven until garlic was browned

    Totally hits the spot without being ‘bad’ for you.
