    Those of you that follow me on instagram saw the doom of boxes that I had to deal with this week.  Quite frankly, I would have rather done anything than unpack a hundred boxes into a space not ready for it, in the middle of this exciting whirlwind of the RETOX book launch aka #RETOXrevolution.

    I suppose I could have done some of the work and left most for other days – it is what my body definitely wanted to do.  Well, that, take a yoga class, sit at a bar, binge on Netflix, or even catch up on the thousands of emails… but instead I decided not only to work hard, but work harder.  Why? I wanted to surprise my husband and make him happy.

    So in a collasal feat of coffee and insanity I did it – all, and al before teaching the evening class.  And you know what? Hard work ALWAYS pays off. It just does.

    Sometimes we don’t see the results for days, even years, and others the results are instantaneous.  But giving something your all, especially for someone else the RETOX way, always makes you, and the world better.

    In today’s insta gratification society where mediocrity tends to prevail, decide to be the superstar and add a little bit extra of hard work for the short and long haul. You will feel so great inside out.   Like that, with me and the entire RETOX team, we can make life even better than it already is.  Trust me.

    Why? Do not be deceived by this pose just because it has the number one after it!  This is actually one of the most challenging poses to do correctly, but also one of the more beneficial standing poses as it helps reduce fat in the hips and thighs, expands the chest and lungs, and relieves stiffness of the neck, shoulders, back, and knees.

    How? It is Day 3 of of 7DAYS & 7NIGHTs to a NEW YOU, so you have done your breathing and Sun Salutes, Now: 

    -From Down dog, inhale step the left foot forward in between the hands or from Tadasana (standing up tall at the front of your mat) step your right foot back 3-4 feet

    -Exhale ground the back heel

    -Inhale lift your torso up, bringing your hands to touch, elbows straight in front of you

    - Bend the left knee at a 90 degree angle.   Make sure your knee is directly on top of your ankle

    -Move your front foot to the left, and back foot to the right and in to a 60-80 degree angle

    -Find up dog in your upper back without crunching your neck or lower back

    - Press your palms together and straighten the arms so they are an extension of your heart or sternum

    -Breath here for 5-8 breaths 

    -To EXIT either:

    -Go back to Day 2, Inhale place your hands on the floor and step your front foot back to a plank pose. Exhale stay here or find Chatarunga.   Inhale Up Dog. Exhale Down Dog


    –Inhale, Step forward to the front of the mat, and find Tadasana, feet touching, legs straight, hands at heart.

    -Repeat on the right side.

    What was the hardest part for you in Warrior 1?  For me it is back bending without fidgeting and bending my knee aaallll the way.
